Boys Developmental Team
Our Success is in our Culture
At AGI we are committed to the principles of Positive Coaching and against a “win-at-all- cost” mentality. Our Team Coaching Staff aim to be Double-Goal Coaches, who strive to win, while also pursuing the more-important goal of teaching life lessons through sports.
AGI was founded on the belief that gymnastics is not only the root of all sports, but is a vehicle by which we can teach skills and values that will last a lifetime and assist in the development of every athlete in our program. Gymnastics, when properly taught within a positive and healthy gym culture, can be the catalyst for a productive life, while at the same time instilling lifetime knowledge of the benefits of physical fitness. No better foundation can be laid for an athlete than one built upon the tenets of gymnastics at AGI.
A Track Record of Success Since 2015
The Big 6:
Building Champions of Character
USAG Compulsory Levels 3-6
These levels are progressive in nature, building upon the skills required at the previous level. Competitive opportunities are provided up to and including the USA Gymnastics Illinois State Championships, and the USA Gymnastics Region 5 Championships.
USAG Optional Levels 7-9
Levels 7-9 marks the transition into upper level gymnastics. While these levels still have some compulsory elements, called “special requirements” , routines are individualized for the first time. These levels have competitive opportunities up to and including USA Gymnastics Illinois State Championships, and the USA Gymnastics Region 5 Championships, and the USA Gymnastics Eastern National Championships.
USAG Optional Levels 10
Level 10 is the highest levels gymnasts may achieve within the USA Gymnastics Developmental Program. The Level 10 competitive season culminates at the Men’s Developmental National Championships as a qualifying step for Level 10 athletes to go to the U.S. Championships later in the season. The U.S. Championships are used as one criteria for selection to the U.S. National Team for Level 10 athletes.
